In 2020, Epiphone returns with the revamped Prophecy Collection! The legendary Gibson designs have undergone some significant modifications in order to adapt them to the needs of today's musicians - on the one hand in love with classic shapes, and on the other hand expecting something more from an instrument - in terms of sound, playing ergonomics or sheer finish. The Epiphone Prophecy Extura is a combination of classic Gibson shapes - Explorer and Futura. One of the key elements of this instrument is undoubtedly the asymmetrical mahogany neck with SlimTaper profile and 24 jumbo frets on an ebony fingerboard, which is decorated with rich inlays! The Extura model also features a contoured "foot" for easier access and more ergonomic hand placement in high positions. Plus the much-loved Graph Tech NuBone saddle and Grover Rotomatic locking keys! The Prophecy Collection guitars feature brushed nickel hardware and a pair of Fishman Fluence humbuckers that allow for 3 completely different tonal characteristics - an absoult breakthrough in instrument versatility! Play a heavy metal riff in "active" high-sound mode, then turn up the tone pot and play a flowing blues solo with classic "PAF" tone! Not enough? Disconnect the coils by raising the tone pot and shine with a much slimmer single-style sound!
